Missouri Wall of FameThe Missouri Wall of Fame was conceptualized by the now defunct River Heritage Mural Association and completed in 1995. Local artist Margaret Dement designed the mural, drawing figures of famous Missouri faces who were either born in Missouri or achieved fame while living in the state, including Harry Truman, George Washington Carver, outlaws Frank and Jesse James, and author Mark Twain. The drawings were projected onto the wall and traced by Weatherford Sign Company. The mural has since been retouched in 2006 by Randol and Tom Melvin. |
