Minnie Winnie Gas Cap Replacement (3 of 3)

The Mount of the Plastic Loop that Tethers the Gas Cap to the Truck was very loose when We bought the Minnie Winnie. So loose that the Plastic Loop would slip out of the Mount and the Gas Cap would hit the pavement. Not often, but once too many. The Cap snapped.

Heated the Plastic Loop that goes around the Cap in Boiling Water. Was able to Stretch the Plastic to get it off the Old Cap and on to the New.

Had a Cone Shaped Spiral Spring that had a Small openin on one side and a larger on the other. Treaded the Spring on to the Plastic Loop then Treaded the Spring into the original Mounting hole.
